REMS 611003 Detect GS3 Compact Gas Detector

The REMS 611003 Detect GS3 is a compact electronic gas detector that sniffs out gas leaks before they become dangerous. In plain terms: you carry it near pipework, fittings or installations, and it warns you the moment it picks up butane, methane, propane or hydrogen in the air, getting more urgent the closer you get to the source. At just 170mm long and weighing only 56g, it's small and light enough to keep in a shirt or jacket pocket all day, thanks to a metal clip and a tough, impact-resistant housing that can take the knocks of daily site work.

It's simple to use, too: press one button to switch it on, and it automatically runs a quick calibration before it's ready to work. From there, it signals a gas leak with flashing red LEDs and a beeping tone that both speed up the closer you get to the source, so you can pinpoint the leak just by following the signal. It switches itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity to save the battery, and you can manually reset its zero point whenever you need a fresh baseline reading.
