The REMS 611096 Detect GS4 Set R is a compact electronic gas detector built specifically for finding refrigerant leaks before they become a bigger problem. In plain terms: you carry it near air conditioning units, cooling systems or refrigeration pipework and it warns you the moment it picks up a refrigerant gas in the air, getting more urgent the closer you get to the source. At just 214mm long and weighing only 78g, it's small and light enough to carry everywhere and a 200mm flexible extension fits onto it without tools, letting you reach right into tight or awkward spaces without having to get your hand in there too.
It's simple to use: switch it on and the detector automatically runs a quick calibration before it's ready to work. From there, it signals a leak with flashing status LEDs and a beeping tone, both of which speed up the closer you get to the source, and a coloured LED (yellow, orange, then red) shows you how strong the reading is at a glance. The sensor meets the F-Gas directive (EU) 2024/573 and EN 14624:2020, so it's suitable for compliant refrigerant leak testing and because it's a quick-change, colour-coded plug-in unit, you can swap to a different gas sensor later rather than buying a whole new device.
